Richards truly captured the light and the feel of the misty air in this dramatic seascape. It is a wonderfully lumninist, bright image of the English coast at Cornwall. Known as the mythical home of King Arthur, the spot must have held great appeal for Richards in that he painted numberous works from the same spot.A very similar painting is in the collection of the Brooklyn Museum and can be seen on their website.
