Although information on Marcius-Simons is somewhat scarce it is known that President Theodore Roosevelt thought highly of him. Roosevelt owned several paintings by Marcius-Simons, many of which can be seen at his home Sagamore Hill in Oyster Bay, NY. The residence is preserved as a mansion museum by the National Parks Service and remains much as it was when it the President lived there.
